Problem:
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting wanted a system that would help them analyze the area and people covered by television and radio stations that received funding.
Solution:
AreaPop II integrates MapInfo with PCensus to produce coverage maps and specialized demographic reports for individual stations or groups of stations.

Problem:CareData.com, a major provider of healthcare utilization and demographic data to the healthcare industry, required a software product for the dissemination of maps and data to its clients to enable them to:
Perform competitive market analysis, determine the best sites for new facilities, and identify future healthcare demand
Display data in a presentation-quality map
Base decisions on a more thorough understanding of information
Communicate effectively to key personnel and clients
Identify areas of high demand
Develop the infrastructure for services
Show locations of selected facilities
Display healthcare provider networks
Solution:Tetrad used its experience in developing demographic analysis and mapping software to create the Avenir system. Avenir has been used since 1997 for the analysis and display of CareData's HealthPac data products
Problem:WorkSafeBC required a
system to find the location of an incident based on a street address,
postal code, place name, or street intersection, and then
assign an officer to the location.
Solution:
Tetrad created a solution involving MapXtreme,
DMTI Spatial's GeoPinpoint and MapInfo Professional to
locate an incident.
The system was then designed to
display a report, showing all the
officers assigned to the location, based on the area
and region in which the location lies. The user could
then print the report to be shared,
if necessary.

Problem:The Canadian Coast Guard wanted a
system to help river pilots decide on the best time to
move a ship up or down the shipping channel in the South
Arm of the Fraser River.
Solution:Avadepth determines the critical depth
and location at two hour intervals along the channel.
The computation accounts for tidal effects, water volume
flow in river, and standard water depth. A 24 hour graph
of the critical depth quickly conveys the information to
pilots.

Problem:Rogers AT&T Wireless Inc. needed a
system to analyze the coverage and operating efficiency
of their cellular network.
Solution:MapNet integrates Visual Basic and
MapBasic routines with MapInfo to produce maps showing
area coverage, frequency plan and usage trends,
statistical reports and market trends.

Internet
Reports & Graphs
Problem:
The
Canadian Coast Guard wanted more convenient methods for
distributing their reports and graphs to help river
pilots decide on the best time to move a ship up or down
the shipping channel in the South Arm of the Fraser
River.
Solution:
Using Active Server Pages and server components,
Avadepth
Internet is an on-line application that allows river
pilots, using a standard web browser, to access water
depth reports, graphs, and sounding drawings on the
Internet.

Problem:The Canadian Department of Indian and
Northern Affairs required a system to monitor the
progress of aboriginal treaty implementation.
Solution:
The Treaty Obligation System monitors the progress of
different obligations that can arise during the
implementation of a treaty. The system provides for:

- Multiple treaties (agreements with aboriginal
bands)
- Multiple owners (parties to agreements)
- User defined subject keywords for subsequent
searches
- Priority of obligation (definite, permissive,
contingent)
- Target date for completion of obligation
- Numerous other features
The system was developed using Visual Basic 6.0. The
back end database is running on SQL Server 6.5.

Homeless
Shelter Management
Problem:Canada Mortgage and Housing
Corporation requested that a system be developed to
gather and provide statistical information on
homeless people in Canada. The system would need to
be flexible to meet the diverse needs of shelters
across Canada.
Solution:
HIFIS (Homeless
Individuals and Families Information System) was
designed by Tetrad to meet shelter client
registration and administrative database system
requirements. It also provides a means for
aggregating client information at regional and
national levels without revealing the identity of
individual clients.
